Magnesium Fluoride MgF2

     Magnesium Fluoride is a positive uniaxial crystal has high optical transmittance from the vacuum VUV to IR spectral region 0.11-8.5um and excellent for Excimer laser applications. Magnesium Fluoride MaF2 has high resistance to radiation, thermal shock, mechanical shock, and is chemically stable that making it a very useful materials for UV and IR optics: lenses, windows, wedges, prisms and other optical components. Positive birefringence crystals of magnesium fluoride MgF2 used for polarization optics. Novotech can supply magnesium fluoride MgF2 with [001] (c-axis) orientation with minimum birefringence, [100] a-cut crystals for maximum barifringence, or material with random orientation.
